GENERAL SUMMARY:

Greater Louisville Inc. is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our Talent team as a Manager of Program Marketing and Engagement. Under general supervision this position is responsible for supporting talent attraction initiatives including corporate outreach, educational outreach, event marketing, and project management activities to enhance and support GLI's talent attraction brand Live in Lou.

GLI has developed a comprehensive strategy to expand and retain the region's existing talent pool. The Greater Louisville region must remake and strategically market an authentic, distinct and positive 'brand' for the region that supports talent attraction and talent retention, and benefits the regional business community.  Under the Live in Lou brand, GLI has launched a digital marketing campaign, an ambassador program, employer outreach activities and promotion of available jobs at university career fairs.

 

PURPOSE:

The Manager, Talent Program Marketing & Engagement is responsible for communicating and enhancing the Live in Lou brand with employers and educators in the region and beyond, as well as supporting team marketing efforts.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

Under the Live in Lou talent attraction, retention and development brand, the ideal candidate will perform the following tasks:

  1. Maintain and employ a deep understanding of Live in Lou and talent attraction, retention and development strategies and assets.
  2. Coordinate and engage the corporate community for the purpose of developing and utilizing talent attraction and retention available services throughout the region.
  3. Perform outreach to local employers and present Live in Lou's assets to them.
  4. Responsible for the development and delivery of a certification program for trained HR directors, recruiters and staffing agents on the Live in Lou assets
  5. Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with career services offices of targeted universities.
  6. Work with the Talent team to develop and execute familiarization (FAM) tours, connecting career services departments with local employers.
  7. Inform and assist those individuals interested in relocating to Louisville, including welcome events, facilitating connections, making introductions, etc.
  8. Coordinate with and support marketing strategies and efforts of Live in Lou.
  9. Work with the Talent team to develop and execute special projects identified as furthering outreach strategies for corporate or educational engagement and/or talent attraction.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or a related field is required plus two (2) to three (3) years' professional experience preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted when proficiency is demonstrated.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and marketing.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficient skills in public speaking.
  • Professional and capable of presenting to top investors.
  • Must be able to organize, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a team player who is creative and a problem solver.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and remain deadline-driven.
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate an ability to interact with professionals at all levels.
  • Must have ability to travel out of town occasionally, if necessary.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.); social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest), AirTable and Slack. Knowledge of Wordpress and CRM a plus.
