Under general supervision, responsible for developing and executing marketing and graphic design concepts for GLI creative media that promote GLI products and services to its members and the community. Works in a cross-functional team environment in order to support the development and implementation of marketing plans for GLI's events, programs, services and membership sales products that reinforce the GLI brand experience.

 

  1. Using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere) work with Marketing Manager to develop concepts, support marketing and communications initiatives and execute creative design tasks that support the storytelling and engagement with GLI's brand
  2. Create engaging print and digital media for all GLI creative needs, which include shared media such as email newsletters, social media channels (organic and paid) and livestreams; print collaterals such as flyers, brochures, programs, direct mail, and annual reports; short videos for internal and external audiences; owned media such as GreaterLouisville.com; and earned media and trade opportunities such as press kits and display ads
  3. Collaborate with both in-house and outside agencies; understand the needs and specs for digital and print design within GLI brand standards
  4. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on internal project management and develop multi-platform visual content for GLI events
  5. Coordinate all aspects of videos and digital video needs, which include forecasting equipment needs, designing and storyboarding shoots, producing content and preparing assets for distribution
  6. Remain current on design trends, development and strategy for future campaign implementation
  7. Develop and maintain an asset library of video footage, photos, graphics, etc.
  8. Support the production of a new GLI podcast
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

Written and oral communications skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of graphic design experience. A combination of education, experience and training may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.

Must be able to organize and coordinate multiple projects. Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Must be able to pass any required drug test and must be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

The incumbent must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere)

Experience with the following types of software and/or Windows based applications is preferred: Microsoft Office, databases, Internet, e-mail.
